Wed. Sep 28, 2021 - Press Coverage Lecture Tour on Renewable Energies
From September 13 to 17th, Dr. Christine
Woerlen, an independent international expert and the former director of
renewable energies with the German Energy Agency, travelled Alberta and
Saskatchewan on invitation of the German Embassy to speak about Germany’s
renewable energy revolution.
Her stops included Edmonton, Saskatoon,
Lethbridge, and Calgary and the positive response was overwhelming as
demonstrated by a large audience at all of her events. Interest in Germany's
advancements in renewables and its commitment to a nuclear power phase out is
obvious in both provinces and grounded in many municipal initiatives that look
towards global best practice examples in order to further their local agenda.
Many thanks to all the partners who helped to make her tour such a success.
