December 2-3, 2011. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of German author and playwright Heinrich von Kleist, this symposium will be reexamining his life, death, and work from interdisciplinary and transmedial perspectives.
The conference is designed as a bilingual as well as inter- and transdisciplinary dialog among scholars from Canada, Germany, and the United States on the topic of Kleist, encompassing also undergraduate and graduate students of German. (Denkfigur_Kleist.pdf)
