Alberta-Germany Collaboration Fund Matchmaking Symposia 2012

The German Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research is back from a very successful and well received symposium in Germany in October 2012. President Bernd Reuscher and Manager Cornelia Sarwas travelled to three different German cities (Duesseldorf, Nuremberg, Munich) to bring together 11 representatives from Alberta Small and Medium-sized Enterprises with potential German partner companies. Matchmaking sessions in each city offered the first chance for an exchange of ideas and discussions on joint projects and were accompanied by expert presentations on the German industry and existing collaborations in each of three sectors, clean tech, health and ICT. This mission served as a kick-off event for the Alberta-Germany Collaboration Fund for Product Development and Commercialization, which will be open for joint Albertan-German projects.
