Short Bio

Jason Morris is a husband and father of three children.  He is the proprietor of Round Table Law, a virtual law firm he has operated from Sherwood Park since 2011. He obtained a law degree from the University of Alberta in 2010. Prior to studying law, his career was focused around information technology as a database analyst and computer programmer, and had received an Honours degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta in 2007.

He is currently seeking an LLM jointly from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and Department of Computing Science. His research is into the use of declarative logic-based programming languages - one of the earliest forms of artificial intelligence - for the automation of legal advice in support of access to justice. He is one of the founding organizers of Legal Hackers Edmonton, and thus far in 2018 has been invited to speak on law and technology by the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and TEDxUalberta.
